GROW..what you see is what you get...there will be plenty more opp's to trade this, including/possibly after cc.
We will wait for that to re-enter or not today. 37 was fine for now.
The split is the hook more than the EPS this morning for the quick ride.
PS..a good time this morning to take some profits in your gaps.

3:50...into the close..as you prolly figured by its action since we mentioned it...we bot some FSYS. Picking some DLB on dips, and trading EFUT(1+million float)..yes trading as its not for everyone.
Again go with the strength and reduce the laggards. Todays DJIMs are different than yesterdays
Good weekend..hope its been a fruitful week. Damn, the weekend update will be long;)

DAKT looks like it's back. Great earnings and guiadance this morning. One to keep an eye on for favorable entry points.
Bought TWLL. Looks ready after consolidation, but could want to touch base with 9-day 1st (very close now). SOX looking strong again today -- at least right now. That could of course change, possibly affecting UCTT as well.

TRT - You just know this one is going higher eventually. Maybe to the 20s in 2006. First though it's got to stop acting totally insane and give traders a bit of confidence. If it can at least hold around this level (mid-15s) for today, that would be a good step.

UCTT starting to do something again. Hope it holds this time.
GMKT moving nicely. Briefing.com had a nice item on it:
13:04 GMKT GMarket -- Small Cap Profile (21.37 +0.30)
Asian technology stocks have been running in the past week, some speculative (EFUT) and some legit (GRRF). We thought we'd take a look at GMarket which falls into the legit column. The co is a South Korean online retailer. Its site offers buyers a wide selection of products at competitive prices on apparel, beauty products, computers, electronics, furniture and jewelry etc. Gmarket is now an established and well-known brand name in Korea. Last week, the co reported impressive Q3 results with revenue of US$43.5 mln rising 125% yr/yr, and EPS jumping to $0.11 from $0.00. Also, in Q3, its registered user base rose to 10.1 mln, up 10% on a sequential basis. Despite the high growth, the co was able able to increase gross margin significantly to 52.3% from 45.4% a year ago. The balance is solid as it has no LT debt and cash/inv of $176 mln, or about $3.50 per share. All of this is pretty remarkable considering GMarket only began operations in late 2003. While Korea is a very attractive market as its consumers are technically saavy and there is a very high broadband penetration rate in the country, the co will use Yahoo's muscle (YHOO owns a 10% stake in GMKT) to help expand outside of Korea and to launch an English version of its website... GMKT is a recent IPO (priced at $15.25 on Jun 29) that has moved up recently, but it's still not much above its IPO opening price of $19.10 so the stock does not have a ridiculous amount of secondary market investors with huge gains. Looking ahead, Q4 could be another catalyst as the co said business was particularly strong late in Q3 which bodes well for Q4. Also, keep in mind that Q4 is the co's seasonally strongest quarter. Mkt cap $1.0 bln, avg vol 470K. (PROFX)

You guys have taught us so much --not just charting and trending with Blacktruck, but constant reminders to take our profits, to be nimble, to see the trend and to giggle when we've done it right. Thank you thank you. I will go cash by end of day and be so happy with it.

Anybody following DJIM should have been 'considering' buying JST. Why?...Almost all DJIM plays are earnings related plus a strong following of China stocks has occured here MR,EDU...JST fits the bill
Also on Mondays Journal entry we concluded by saying consider cutting the oil seg and look to China stocks.
"MEK made a nice recovery, still be careful with this segment now. Go with stronger sec...china stocks"
last line..
http://djmarkets.squarespace.com/journal/2006/11/13/houston-weve-got-a-problem-caas-china-automotive-systems-inc-efut-efuture-information-technology-inc.html
Briefing ran JST profile at 1230 Friday, considering the headline chasers came into full contact with JST(look at 10min chart) take into consideration many of these may want to dump come Monday for a quick flip. You may get some cheaper shares, you may not.

This is the week where the lunatics take over the asylum. Without the big boys around (away on vacation) to keep them in check, the momo guys will be out in force to take advantage of the situation.
Actually, this was much more the case a few years ago, but the phenomenon has seemed to be less the past few years. But could still happen to selective stocks.
The best plays of the week may very well be ones no one is even thinking about now. This is often the case (see many of Demi and Jon's recently). It's a matter of seeing what's happening (great earnings, e.g.) and reacting quickly. It's often the case but may be moreso this week.
And some of the best plays may very well be the junk, such as the LMRAs of the world. I remember in the Wed.-Fri. period of this week in 1999 there was a stock that put out a hype-ish PR that had all the key words in it and the stock went from around 6 on to 55. This isn't 1999 but similar things of a lesser scale could happen.
So keep some cash handy and keep an eye on what's happening now and react to it.
The other approach is to anticipate moves from charts and upcoming events. This is where research comes in handy. Anticipate the stocks that could move, keep an eye on them and get in ahead or react quickly when they happen. My next post is as to a few of those sorts of stocks.

Not many earnings this week. GME reports Mon. before the open. Could be an interesting short if it gaps way up. The sell the news may kick in with the Play Station 3 now out. Plus supplies of PS3 are much less than they'd anticipated.
Interesting pullbacks: To 9-day MA: DIVX, SIM, FTEK, SINA, MTOX, ININ.
HOLX had great earnings but sold way off based on guidance. Many now say that guidance is too conservative and the stock has been bouncing nicely.
Interesting breakouts:
New closing high + good volume, to name a few: LXU, AZZ, CHAP, MR, GMKT
Shorts: I don't short usually but may try GME this week based on its earnings, how it reacts, and the mkt. Also, IPSU chart looks treacherous – like it's ready to collapse further.

CTRN looking fine here imo at a ~10% discount to friday's opening.. they posted much better than expected results and impressive same store comps (on top of 2005 alredy very strong comps !), an early stage retailer play with lower oil benefitting the sector -- also, AIRM (an old 2005 favourite) slowly building momentum after having posted blowout earnings last week.. looks like a nice defensive pick

TRT...lack of swimming power...think this morning's strength was attributed to a website mention. You know, the one some of us originally met at.

Nasdaq: TSTC (Telestone Technologies) interesting China pureplay on 3G. Recently announced earnings on November 15th, Revenue Up 32%; P/E of only 9. Also, TSTC has major deals with LGC Wireless and China Ericsson.
Mentioned TSTC because Goldman Sachs article out yesterday afternoon. China is expected soon to announce plans to roll out third-generation (3G) mobile services, an event that has taken longer than hoped for by global equipment vendors who view the upgrade as a multi-billion sales opportunity.

Bought some CHINA. Just off of 9-day MA, so not terribly overbought yet. Float is a little high - 83.5M but can move. Just got good coverage:
13:35 CHINA CDC Corp follow-up (7.66 +0.21) -Update-
Pac Growth starts coverage with a Buy on view that fundamentals improving; firm's valuation analysis suggests $11.50-14.00 fair value.
